MEET KAZOO’S NOISEMAKERS:

25 WOMEN WHO RAISED THEIR VOICES AND CHANGED THE WORLD.

From the creators of Kazoo, the award-winning kids’ magazine, comes a collection of inspiring comics about twenty-five extraordinary women who made a racket, a bang, an uproar! You’ll get to know some familiar heroes better, and you’ll meet some new ones, too, like a daredevil pilot! A shark whisperer! An undercover spy! All noisemakers, through and through, just like you.

“Astonishing comics about world-changing women.
What could possibly be better?” —Neil Gaiman

Thoughtful, timely, and super-engaging. So glad the powerhouse young people coming up have Kazoo as a blueprint, a roadmap, and a glimpse into history.”

—Jacqueline Woodson, 2019 National Ambassador for Young People's Literature

“All the women in this book were discouraged from doing the work they were born to do. Fortunately, they didn't let that stop them. Here are their riveting stories, told in unputdownable comics. I wish I’d had Noisemakers when I was growing up.”

—Alison Bechdel, MacArthur Award-winner and author of Fun Home

Important a comic anthology unlike most others … There’s a real respect for the reader shown in the book; not only in the ways the stories are told, but also the selection of those telling the stories.”

The Hollywood Reporter

“Perfectly-timed, positive and righteously fun.”
Comics Beat

“Engrossing … These pages reinforce a lot of the themes that are at the core of Kazoo’s philosophy: the thrill of exploration, the comfort of self-reliance, the joy of being confident in pursuing what you want…

—AV Club

Part encyclopedia, part girl-power scrapbook …extremely relevant.”

Publishers Weekly

“The perfect book for inspiring young girls (and boys too)…It’s a real treasure trove of interesting stories from throughout the ages and a must for schools and libraries as well as all age readers.”
